Meet Shaka

My name is Madre Harper, my stage name is SHAKA.I'm from Arlington, Texas and have lived there since I was born. I consider myself to be very accomplished considering that I graduated high school a semester early and had a 4.0 GPA. I finished my first year of college with a 3.8 GPA all while playing football and producing music. I started making music in high school, it all started with me and my friends just messing around but then I started to really like it and had fun doing it, it is something I love to do. I've always been involved with music. For example, I started playing the piano in the first grade, then when I got to the fourth grade I started playing the drums, the guitar, and the violin. Because of all that I was in orchestra all through high school. But like I said I started making music with friends in high school and I really enjoyed it. After a while of just messing around I really thought I could go somewhere with it. I get my inspiration from Travis Scott, Drake, and Kanye West. Each one of those artists inspires me in a different way. Travis Scott is in my top three because the way his music flows, his transitions in his songs are amazing and I really like the way he performs. Drake is able to go into any genre, I would love to do that and that is one of my goals to accomplish would be able to make music in any different genre. Kanye is an inspiration because Kanye is just an inspiration, he's a genius. Out of the three the one I would ultimately like to work with the most would be Travis Scott, because of how great I think his music is.
