Who the f*ck is Jnix!?! 👀

Hey my name is Jeremy Nixon, I go by Jnix for short. I started rapping at 15 years old but my grandparents told me I couldn't rap anymore when they found verses of me killing my parents in my song. I grew up with a drug abusing/ alcoholic mother and father. In short me and my 3 brothers were homeless until age 4, my grandparents took me and my brothers in and brought us to Carol Stream IL for a fresh start. We were the only black kids on our block and school and while over coming racism, social abnormity, and lack of education I found it hard to deal with this all on top of not having any parents. Carol Stream was rated top 50 places to live in the United States and I was dropped here and I was suppose to adjust. This was a uphill battle for me. Nigger, Orphan, had my basketball shoes peed on because I wasn't like the other entitled kids that lived here. I listened to a lot of Eminem who was popular in the early 2000s and lived through rap and his lyrics. My goal is to reach out to kids who are growing up like I did and give them motivation and confidence that took me 21 years to find myself. The music today is cool and innovation in the industry is always going to happen but the connection between the artist and the fan is lost and I want to bring that back. Making people feel moved in my songs while also rocking to a beat is my main thing. Over all I am as confident as I can be today and live through my music which to my surprise people enjoy.
