âLissette Marieâ

âI'm debuting as an official artist this Tuesday, November 21st. However, I have always been musician. I've been classically trained in the violin and I've played for over 12 years.â
3. What inspired you to start making music?
âI have something to say. I've been inspired to make music because I have something that I want to share with potential listeners. My older brother J. Francis, who is also a singer/song writer, and my mom have been my main motivator in actually sharing my voice and music with others.â
4. Who do you look up to in the music industry? Why?
âI look up to both JhenĂ© Aiko and Kehlani. I love how they both have such savage and blunt lyrics while still being sensual. That tomboy passionate vibe.â
5. Where are you from? What was it like growing up there?
âI am from San Antonio, Texas but I recently moved to Austin. Growing up in San Antonio was very interesting. I was always busy during High School. I was in orchestra, choir, as well as on a Nationally acclaimed dance team. I graduated at the age of 16 and went on to a private university. There I found more of my voice. I was able to be the Entertainment Director for the college tv station and I met so many amazing artists. I studied Film/ Digital Production.â
6. What is your ultimate goal makinng music?
âMy ultimate goal is to become more confident in voicing my opinion as well as using my experiences to connect and hopefully inspire girls like me all over the world!â
7. What do you think of the music scene today and what could you contribute to it?
âI honestly believe the music scene is amazing right now. There is something for everyone and new genre sub categories are being introduced constantly, There is no one lane that an artist HAS to stick to. Everyone can able in everything and creative the best version of their art! I want to contribute that by combining trap and soul. I LOVE trap beats, and yes I am that girl that does her makeup to trap music ( or Drake). But there's a piece of my heart that will forever love 90s/2000s R&B.â
8.What are your thoughts on Trump?
âLOL, I try not to voice my opinion about politics over social media platforms. It leaves so much room for negativity and the excuse for some to just click away from your point of view, dismissing you. I'd much rather speak about it in person, so I can tell someone their racist and a bigot to their face :)â
9. Do you have any celebrity crushes? If so, who? đ
âJidenna, ugh he is too beautiful inside and out. And I love how he mixes African and trap music, again creating a new lane.â

âIn 2018, I see me making my mark on the music scene. Or at least showing my face! I want to dive in to this passion head first! I hope to release 2 EP's and get a lot of visuals out. I'd also want to challenge myself by working with other artists, wether it's a collaboration, writing for others, or just supporting other local artists by showing up to their shows! Overall, I just want to be more involved!â
