“I'm from a small city called Goldsboro, NC. Growing up in such an unfriendly city like Goldsboro was very tough and challenging because of all the crime and hatred but it really gave me the motivation to strive for greatness! One thing I know is only the strong survive.” Just by that one statement you can already tell what kind of artist we are dealing with. He’s one of the dopest, yet most humble artist we’ve had the opportunity to work with. He goes by the name of “$hy Boog” look up the name and remember it, because he is a star.

1. What's your stage name.

“My stage name is $hy Boog” 2. How long have you been doing music?

“My first time stepping foot in the studio I was 10 years old and now im 21 years old but I really started taking music serious around 2013.” 3. What inspired you to start making music?

“Honestly I felt like the only way I could cope with all the losses I took and all the pain I've endured was through music. Even when no one else was there music has always been there for me!” 4. Who do you look up to in the music industry? Why?

“I look up to J.Cole, Phor, Dave East and Nipsey Hussle as well. Truthfully speaking I love their music because I feel like I can relate to each and everyone of these artist. You know when the music is real because you can feel it in your heart and soul! Much love and respect to all of them!” 5. Where are you from? What was it like growing up there?

“My ultimate goal when it comes to making music is to reach out and inspire others to never give up! I just want someone to look at me and say "Because of your music I didn't give up in life!" 7. What do you think of the music scene today and what could you contribute to it?

“I feel like the music is more diverse than ever before actually but the only thing that I feel I could contribute to it would be authenticity!” 8. What are your thoughts on Trump?

“When it comes to Donald Trump being president I feel like he is at war with himself and I know for a fact that he is a very successful businessman but I doubt that he is the one that should be the president of the US!” 9. Do you have any celebrity crushes? If so, who?

“As 2018 approaches I see myself opening up to endless opportunities that lie in this world. I see myself doing a lot of shows and also touring with some of the best! Just have to stay down and stay humble and consistent!”
