Born in Trinidad, this next artist is on the verge of doing great things this year. He goes by the name of Swerve. We are confident this guy has potential to be a 2019 XXL FRESHMAN! 🚀

💰 Swerve 2. How long have you been doing music?

💰I have been doing music for 11 years. 3. What inspired you to start making music?

💰This may sound weird but as a young boy I was always interest in the subject English literature and poems. I realised that when reciting some of the poems in class, I would always recite in a rhythmic way which I thought added something to it. This soon transferred into making music. 4. Who do you look up to in the music industry? Why?

💰One artist that immediately comes to mind is Lil Wayne. He was the pinochle of my generation and brought about a new way of expression. He word play as well stood out to me.

5. Where are you from? What was it like growing up there?

💰I was born in Trinidad and Tobago. Life was nice. Looking back as an adult and taking into account my like in the UK, I would say it was hard at times but when there’s sun, sea, and sand at your disposal, you can’t really complain. 6. What is your ultimate goal making music?

💰“To be like Mike or greater than Mike.” If you were wondering who Mike is... I was referencing Michael Jackson. 7. What do you think of the music scene today and what could you contribute to it?

💰I think the music scene is very healthy at the moment as various artists are expressing themselves in more unconventional ways. I will be contributing my unique sound, word play, and eye for style. 8. What are your thoughts on Trump?

💰To be honest, I don’t think about him. 9. Do you have any celebrity crushes? If so, who? 

💰Haha. I had a mad crush on Meagan Good when I was younger. There are a few others but Meagan definitely wins. 10. Where can the people find your music? (Drop all social media links)
