Junior 😯🎶
Todays music is filled with turn up, trap, twerk, etc. It seems like everybody is just trying to ride a wave that will eventually die down. This next guy is one of the most conscious rappers we’ve been blessed to work with. He goes by the name of Junior. You’ll be hearing a lot from him in 2018! His music reminds us of Cole, Kendrick, etc. He is someone who speaks truth and speaks for the culture! Don’t sleep.
1. What's your stage name(s). 🎶Junior 2. How long have you been doing music? 🎶I have been writing music every since I was 11 years old. I didn't actually start recording until I was 12, so I am coming up on 12 years of being in this music industry. 3. What inspired you to start making music? 🎶I have always had a passion for music, but I was inspired to start creating my own when I saw the people around me making it. I had brothers and friends that would go to the studio, and that's something that I wanted to be able to do after figuring out I had a talent and passion for writing. 4. Who do you look up to in the music industry? Why? 🎶I can't say that I look up to anyone in the music industry just because of personal views, but there are definitely some artists that I enjoy. I've always been a fan of J. Cole because of his consistency and persistence to be great. Kendrick constructs some of the best music, and what he means to the culture is something that I can appreciate. Wale is an underrated artist to me. Then of course you have the geniuses that I studied throughout time such as Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Andre 3000, Nas, and Em (my top 5 all time), and others that helped expand hip hop.
5. Where are you from? What was it like growing up there? 🎶I grew up in a small town known as Mart, Texas. Growing up there molded me into the person that I am today. The community was nurturing and loving to all. There was nothing like Friday night football in that city. I'm forever grateful for where I came from. 6. What is your ultimate goal making music? 🎶The ultimate goal in making music is to be able to give back to communities all over the world. I believe my music can provide me the resources necessary to do so. Not only that, but I want to be the voice of the people that are afraid to speak up or for those that feel as if their voice isn't loud enough. I want people to be able to relate to me, and be given a positive vibe when they see my videos or music pop up. 7. What do you think of the music scene today and what could you contribute to it? 🎶I would say that I am one of the most creative individuals in the world. There are things that I have mastered that I feel like artists in the industry lack nowadays. The music scene isn't how it used to be in the 90's, and I feel as if I bring that "real" hip hop feel with my music. I also feel like I can be a role model to kids because I do not curse in my music either and we need that for the youth. 8. What are your thoughts on Trump? I🎶've learned to keep political views to myself. My album addresses a lot of issues found within the world, so that's where you'll get to hear how I feel about a lot of things. 9. Do you have any celebrity crushes? If so, who? 🎶Elle Varner would have to be my celebrity crush. Hands down.
10. Where can the people find your music? (Drop all social media links) 🎶My music is EVERYWHERE! If you have Tidal, Google Play, Apple Music, Spotify, or any other major digital music distribution application just look up "Junior - To The People, For The People" for one of the BEST albums you'll hear for years to come! Also, you can find me on social media and just reach out to me. I'll send songs via email or however to make sure people get it. Where do you see yourself in 2018? 🎶I will be doing a lot of traveling to make sure my music is heard, and to also build my brand. This is bigger than me, and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure it produces the results I have planned. 2018 will be a beautiful year.
